Hi this is Rich with R&R Construction of Florida. We just wrapped up a renovation for a brand named Goodlife at Town Center in Boca Raton. It was the second location that we opened for Goodlife. The first location was in Boston, Massachusetts by our R&R Construction company operations up there.
Goodlife is a very successful online fashion company with additional retail store locations in the West Village in New York City, Hudson Yards in New York City, and Scottsdale, Arizona.
For this location we finished a full renovation. It was a permanent job (not a pop-up), so we passed all our rough inspections, our final inspections, and we were given our certificate of occupancy in record time for the client. Now the brand staff is free to bring in their merchandise, set everything up, and get ready for the grand opening.
Retail Renovations by R&R Construction of Florida
One of the challenges with renovating the retail store space for Goodlife, was the extent of repairs that were needed to the drywall. The previous tenant had a lot of wall fixtures, wall shelves, that we had to take down, and then we had to do a lot of wall repairs, and that took a lot of attention to detail. A lot of sanding and a lot of prep because the colors of the Goodlife brand are black and white.
We had to paint the walls with black paint with an eggshell finish and any type of sheen the paint has makes any imperfections in the wall pop out, so we had to make sure we really repaired the walls and did a really good job sanding them, so that the black paint would look nice and smooth and any imperfections wouldn’t stand out.
When clients need projects done quickly, with a need for a large labor force to go in and really show some big improvements fast, that’s when they will hire a general contractor like R&R Construction that has the construction management, project managers, and crew to really come in and do a project in a time-effective and cost-effective manner.
